VASERlipo™ is a minimally invasive liposuction treatment that uses ultrasound technology to remove stored fat when diet and exercise alone don’t yield the results you want. VASERlipo is powerful enough to remove large areas of fat but gentle enough to use on delicate areas like the neck and arms. Clinically proven to leave the body smooth and contoured, VASERlipo offers stunning results in just one treatment without the pain and downtime of a traditional liposuction procedure.
The fat removed during a VASERlipo treatment can also be transferred to accentuate other areas of the body. Step 1 Consultation
A thorough consultation is an important first step when deciding if VASERlipo is the best option for you. One of our board certified surgeons will discuss your desired results, examine you and provide an honest, professional opinion on how best to achieve those results. We also make certain that you are a good candidate for VASERlipo, taking into account your age, health, medical background and other factors that could affect the safety and effectiveness of your treatment. All of our consultations are conducted with the goal of making sure our patients feel comfortable, confident and informed about VASERlipo.
Step 2 Treatment
We make every effort to ensure you are completely comfortable during your VASERlipo appointment. During treatment, a special saline solution (tumescent fluid) is injected into the treatment area to numb and shrink local blood vessels. The tumescent fluid also temporarily expands the target area, making it easier for the fat cells to be removed.
Small probes are then inserted through small incisions, which resonate at a high ultrasound frequency, causing the cells to loosen while leaving the surrounding tissue healthy. The loose fat cells mix with the tumescent fluid and are then removed through tiny tubes.
Treatment can take as little as one hour depending on the size and number of treatment areas.
Step 3 Recovery
After your VASERlipo treatment, we recommend you rest for 12 hours. You should also avoid strenuous activity for two to three weeks following treatment. Special compression garments are also worn to help the skin contract around the body’s new contours.
Step 4 Results
While results vary from individual to individual, VASERlipo is highly effective at removing local areas of unwanted fat. Results are immediately noticeable and continue to improve over time. Optimal results are visible about four months after treatment. During your consultation, your doctor will thoroughly explain what results to expect.
